Britney Spears to become a Sex Pistol?

MTV:
John Lyndon, aka Johnny Rotten, is keen to write a song for Britney Spears after her recent troubles.
Speaking to The Sun Newspaper, the rotten rocker explained that the pain Britney’s been through lately could be the key to producing some amazing material "She has been hurt. And hurt is the root core essence of good music.”
John continued “I haven't written a song for Britney yet but I would love to. I'd like to help out because there's a girl who needs some help."

Court orders Britney Spears to give her father $10,000.

Entertainmentwise:
A court has ruled that Britney Spears must hand over $10,000 to father Jamie - as compensation for lost earnings after he quit his job to look after her.
This week an L.A. court approved his application for $2,600 a week for loss of earnings in February.
The court papers stated: "As a result of the responsibilities Mr Spears has assumed as Temporary Conservator of the Person and Temporary Co-Conservator of the Estate, he has been unable to continue his prior employment."
Since Jamie was made a conservator of Britney's estate, his troubled daughter has made tentative steps towards getting her personal and professional life back on track.
Another person who seems to be playing a role in the former pop wreck's recovery is actor Mel Gibson, who recently invited the singer to stay at his Costa Rica home.

Britney Spears has "IT"!....... What? Herpes? No? Insanity? Maybe? Great comeback? Maybe........

Boston Herald:
Britney Spears is attempting yet another career comeback and is back in the recording studio.
“She’s great,” producer - and Brit ex - J.R. Rotem told People maggie at the BMI Pop Awards in Beverly Hills. “She’s like a master at what she does. She just has the ‘it’ factor that not every artist has. So it’s always nice to work with her.”
Rotem declined to reveal any details of the project, but a Spears family source told the maggie that the pop tart is in the early stages of a follow-up to her last album, “Blackout,” which was released in October.

Britney Spears returns from vacation to work on custody agreement.

Britney Spears returned to LA yesterday after a relaxing break in Costa Rica. The singer enjoyed a holiday with Mel Gibson, his wife Robyn and her dad Jamie at the actor's home in Central America. But Brit had to come back for a meeting with ex husband Kevin Federline, 30, to discuss custody arrangements for their sons Jayden James, 1, and Sean Preston, 2. Lawyers for both parties will be present and LA Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon says he will set a trial date in August or September if they can't come to an agreement, reports E! Online. Kevin was granted full custody of the boys after Britney, 26, was admitted to hospital in January.

Kevin Federline's Attorney reads People and TMZ instead of hiring private investigators to follow Britney Spears!

Mercury News:
Kevin Federline's attorney can't complain about the intense interest in his client's child-custody battle with Britney Spears.
He doesn't grumble about the television trucks and news reporters swarming the courthouse every time there's a hearing, or the paparazzi who hound the pop princess every moment there isn't. And he's certainly not opposed to the TV reports, tabloids and Web sites that have documented every shred of the case that has consumed him for the past 18 months.
After all, the attention has saved his side some major cash.
"If I had to hire an investigator or investigators to provide me with the intelligence about what's going on, where they are, how are they doing," said Mark Vincent Kaplan, "it would be north of half a million to a million dollars ... as opposed to buying People magazine for $3.95 on Thursday morning or going on TMZ."

Hayden Panettiere blames photographers for the 127 Britney Spears car accidents!

Star Pulse:
Heroes actress Hayden Panettiere has urged the media to allow troubled Britney Spears the space she needs "to heal".
The star has accused the hordes of photographers who constantly pursue Spears of ruining the pop star's life - likening their behavior to that of an obsessed "stalker". And the actress believes the photographers' behavior is dangerous - insisting Spears' recent string of car collisions is down to them taking high risks to ensure they get lucrative photos of the star.
She says, "I love acting more than anything else in the world, so I can't see myself stopping. But I think this situation is becoming so dangerous - it causes car accidents. There's no differences between what they do and stalking somebody. Look at somebody like Britney Spears - who deals with 50 cars following her all the time - nobody gives her room to heal."
And Panettiere is devastated the Toxic singer has fallen out of favor with music fans - because she was her idol growing up. She adds, "To me growing up, she was everything, and we built her up and ripped her down."

Britney Spears goes on vacation with....Mel Gibson!!!

Bwahahahahahahaha! They deserve each other. Please spawn some children. Pleeeeease!!!
ET:
ET breaks news that BRITNEY SPEARS and MEL GIBSON are currently en route to Costa Rica on vacation together! Britney arrived on time, about 5 minutes after Mel, and the plane departed at 9:05 a.m.
We spotted them leaving on a private plane to the Central American state early this morning. Sources tell us that Mel is taking Britney and her father JAMIE for a mini-vacation. We've learned they will be guests at Mel's home in Costa Rica.
According to the terms of her custody Britney's children cannot leave the country without special approval. There is no confirmation as to whether she sought approval and we're told they are not joining her on the trip.
While the pop star and the actor may appear to be an unlikely duo, they used to live in the same Malibu community and were spotted having dinner together at Studio City's Romanov restaurant in March.

The National Enquirer is reporting that there is a video of a pink wigged Britney Spears getting it on with Adnan. God help us all..............
Splash has the story.

Will Britney Spears lose her license over latest car accident??

Crazy bitch can't drive! When are they going to take her license away? It's time.........
AP:
Another Britney Spears fender-bender, another instant online video.
Paparazzi had cameras rolling when the pop star's white Mercedes-Benz coupe rear-ended a red Ford Explorer Tuesday in Beverly Hills.
The video, posted on TMZ.com, shows Spears in the driver's seat. Wearing a ponytail and aviator shades, she covers her mouth with her hand after realizing she hit the car in front of her.
No one was injured and police were not involved. Photos and video do not reveal any visible damage to either car.
The 26-year-old's bodyguard, who was riding in the passenger seat, gave Spears' information to the female driver of the SUV, People.com and TMZ reported.
Spears was involved in a separate fender-bender on April 12. No one was injured or cited in that accident.

Is Britney Spears pregnant and smoking????

Gaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh! Say it isn't so Brit!
Rad Report has the pics.....

Is Britney Spears making the media disapponinted with her positive comeback???

I love MTV's headline. I think they are right on. We all can't wait for the next Brit disaster!
MTV:
Britney Spears is returning to the CBS sitcom “How I Met Your Mother” tonight to reprise her role as Abby, a flaky office assistant.
In her first cameo, Britney’s character developed a crush on Ted (Josh Radnor, above), who then began dating her boss. In this episode, Abby tries to get back at Ted by hooking up with his friend Barney (the inimitable Neil Patrick Harris).
In spite of reportedly mixed reactions from some of her castmates, Britney’s first appearance was met with great reviews and 10.6 million viewers — a big jump from the show’s usual 8.1 million. Let’s see if people tune in again for her follow-up. The show’s producers seem confident that they will: they’ve apparently signed up the (cough) “embattled” pop star for a third appearance, next season.

Britney Spears will probably appear on "How I Met Your Mother" for the THIRD time in the Fall!

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Three times may be the charm for Britney Spears and "How I Met Your Mother."
With Spears making her second guest appearance on the abruptly popular CBS comedy, the show's co-creator, Craig Thomas, tells THR.com that Monday's episode was written to leave the door open for the pop singer to make a return appearance next season.
"She was better than the first time, and I think the fans will enjoy it because her return answers a larger mystery set up earlier in the series," Thomas said. "So there's a good plot reason why she's there. And when people watch Britney's second appearance on the show they'll see that the door is still open for her to come back."
Spears' first visit resulted in "Mother" hitting its highest rating ever. The show has since maintained an elevated audience level compared to last year. Once considered on the bubble for a fall renewal, the critically acclaimed comedy is now considered a lock to return next season.

Madoona slams Britney Spears' lack of childhood!

Daily Record:
MADONNA has put Britney Spears' erratic behaviour down to the fact "she was never allowed to have a childhood".
The two sang on Me Against The Music in 2003 and famously shared a kiss onstage at the MTV Video Music Awards that year.
Madge said: "She never was allowed to have a childhood, she was a star when she was a child.
"She didn't get to grow up and make mistakes privately. She's been under a microscope since she was a teenager, which I think is really tough. It's hard to evolve that way."
Speaking to Jo Whiley on Radio 1, Madonna also revealed what it was like to work with artists she admires such as Justin Timberlake, who appears on her UK chart-topper 4 Minutes'.
"It's a little bit awkward," she added. "You don't know them and you feel a bit nervous and intimidated."

Britney Spears visits MTV's "Rock The Cradle".

US:
Britney Spears surprised "Rock The Cradle" contestants Thursday night by unexpectedly showing up for the season finale to support her former manager and friend Larry Rudolph.
"Rock The Cradle" pits aspiring pop stars, who have rock and roll in their DNA, against one another. The finale, which was broadcast on MTV, featured Jess Blaze Snider, son of Dee Snider; Crosby Loggins, son of Kenny Loggins; and Chloe Lattanzi, daughter of Olivia Newton John. Rudolph judged the competition.
Spears spent the duration of the show seated backstage surrounded by security. After the show, Rudolph told usmagazine.com, "She was here to support the show. I mentioned to her that I was going to my show. She said, ‘I want to come down.’ She loved it. She really loved it. She didn't come here for publicity or anything like that. She came here because she wanted to see the show, which I appreciated."
Spears headed to the show after spending the day with her two sons, Jayden James and Sean Preston. It was the first extended visit since she, along with her parents Lynne and Jamie Spears, appeared in Los Angeles County Superior Court Tuesday for a custody hearing, where she was granted extended visitation rights by Commissioner Scott Gordon.

Britney Spears still rides by private jet.

There must still be a few bucks left in the bank account...........
Jaunted:
Britney Spears rocked matching shirt, shorts and flip-flops as she boarded a private plane in Mississippi over the weekend. We suspect the Wal-Mart bag contains snacks--no meal service on this flight!
Spears came home for her sister Jamie-Lynn's baby shower this weekend, then headed back to LA to film her scenes from "How I Met Your Mother."
Fans of the New York twentysomething sitcom fretted when Spears did her first cameo, as a socially awkward receptionist, but she was so good for ratings (and so not reviled in reviews) that they're bringing her back as a love interest for Neil Patrick Harris. Is she following in Jamie-Lynn's footsteps and going to TV full-time?

Britney Spears's life looks good....for now!

MTV:
Britney Spears has been given the right to spend time with her two young sons by an LA court.
At a hearing yesterday the popstar- who has had a breakdown and entered rehab in recent months- arrived in a white land rover.
Afterwards her ex-husband Kevin Federline’s lawyers revealed she would get to see her kids more. They explained that Britney was getting her life back together after her well publicised problems.
In January K-Fed was given sole custody of the children. Spear’s dad Jamie is still in charge of her estate and finances.
Yesterday her parents released a statement saying: “We are so pleased at Britney's progress and we are very appreciative of the court's recognition of this progress.”
The Piece Of Me popster looks much better than she has during more chaotic times. She is also appearing in US sitcom How I Met Your Mother again.

Will Britney Spears behave in court today? Will her antics affect her "How I Met Your Mother" popularity????

If she goes nuts in court, it can only help the ratings............
AP:
Exactly three months have passed since Britney Spears left a psychiatric ward and promptly stirred up a paparazzi car chase, a scene that looked like the beginning of even more erratic behavior for the troubled pop star.
In the weeks that followed, Spears started acting out of character, all right: She laid low and avoided the cameras. She spent time with family members. She found work, and succeeded at it.
With that stability and momentum to build on, it would appear Spears' child-custody hearing Tuesday had the potential for a positive outcome — as long as she gets it together to show up this time. All indications are that she will.
The troubled 26-year-old pop star, who has been under the conservatorship of her father since her one-week-early release from UCLA Medical Center, is expected to attend the custody status hearing in a downtown courthouse with her parents. Her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, will also attend, said his spokesman, Elliot Mintz.
Federline has had full custody of his two sons by Spears, 2-year-old Sean Preston and 1-year-old Jayden James, since January, when police were called to Spears' home after she refused to relinquish one of the boys to a Federline bodyguard. Spears was taken by ambulance to a hospital after the incident. Her visitation rights were suspended at the time, but have been gradually restored in recent months.
Tuesday's hearing will include discussion of a psychiatrist's evaluation of Spears, a person close to the case told The Associated Press. The person was not authorized to speak publicly about the case and requested anonymity.
Commissioner Scott Gordon, who will preside over the hearing, could modify the couple's visitation agreement Tuesday based on Spears' recent conduct, the person said.
Spears was a constant media presence before the conservatorship took effect. Photographers captured her every visit to Starbucks and gas stations around Los Angeles, and documented a bout of bizarre behavior that included appearing in public without underwear, shaving her own head and beating a car with an umbrella.
Since Spears' father, James, took over her affairs, the pop star has been relatively invisible to photographers, only occasionally snapped shopping or having dinner with her mother, Lynne. A traffic accident last month turned out to be a minor bumper-to-bumper incident in which no one was injured, and for which no one was cited.
Spears' public appearances have been limited to a well-received cameo on CBS' "How I Met Your Mother," a role she reprised during a taping last week, a CBS spokeswoman said. The episode is set to air May 12.
"We're thrilled to have Britney joining us once again," series executive producer and co-creator Craig Thomas said in a statement last month. The show's audience increased by a million viewers the week Spears appeared.
The pop star also made news last month when she took on full-time exercise and nutrition coaches from Bally Total Fitness. Once known for her flawless figure, Spears was widely ridiculed for her flabby form in September during a universally panned performance on the MTV Video Music Awards that was meant to herald her comeback.
Spears has been elusive at recent court hearings, her every anticipated appearance drawing a circus of media and paparazzi. In January, she arrived at the courthouse wearing cocktail-party attire — a black minidress and gold platform shoes — and left before the custody hearing began. A lawyer for Federline said that behavior may have played a role in the commissioner's decision that she remain barred from seeing her sons. Federline has allowed Spears limited visitation rights since Feb. 22.

Reporter is left stunned after run in with Britney Spears at Hair salon!

IT WAS a hair appointment I won't be forgetting anytime soon. When I was leaving a Beverly Hills salon last week, I ran into Britney Spears.
As I stood in the driveway behind the salon, waiting for the valet to bring my car (yes, I'm sorry to report that in car park-challenged La-la land, even getting a haircut requires a girl to valet), I was almost knocked over by a tidal wave of about 40 paparazzi who rushed from a side street as Britney's luxury 4WD pulled up next to me.
Within seconds, a group of photographers and videographers poured with tsunami-like force into the salon's private driveway, wildly jostling for position around her super-sized cream car and almost knocking me over in the unruly scrum.
I was forced to duck and weave wildly as clenched fists and heavy cameras - wielded like weapons - came within millimetres of my head...........

Sources claim that Spears, who is no stranger to bad media attention, has reached out to Cyrus and offered her support.
“Britney is all too aware of the pressures of being famous so young and of having to maintain the image of a role model,” says an insider. “She has offered Miley her support and advice should she need it.”

Robyn talks about the comparisons to Britney Spears.

Globeandmail:
Britney Spears offers a cautionary tale of pop stardom's pitfalls, but if you prefer a feel-good fable, look no further than Swedish teen-pop refugee Robyn.
The pint-sized singer with a new-wave hairdo, sassy rhymes, heartfelt yet chirpy vocals and impeccable pop smarts had her last North American hit with 1997's Show Me Love - penned by Max Martin, who later wrote Spears's Baby One More Time. More recently, Robyn sang backup on Britney's Piece of Me, has collaborated with Snoop Dogg and clocked a pair of British Top 10 singles.
Her self-titled album - combining edgy electro-pop, adorable hip hop and dramatic dance-floor epics - is only just arriving on our shores. But Robyn is already a cult hero in the indie scene and gay community (websites Pitchfork and Perez Hilton are among her biggest backers) which have been onside since her cutesy battle-rap track Konichiwa Bitches hit music blogs in 2005.
"Of course, there are certainly things that are similar," Robyn says, over the telephone from London, of the Spears comparison. "We both worked with Max Martin. We both signed to Jive. We both started out young and were part of this genre in the mid-nineties. But there are also a lot of things that are different between us."

Britney Spears has lost $61 million due to her insanity and destructive behavior!!!

She can look on the bright side. "Celebrity Fit Club" would always hire her.............
In Touch:
When Britney Spears’ father, Jamie, was named her co-conservator on February 1, he took over her financial affairs. But after going through her books, Jamie must have learned just how much of a toll Britney’s crazy behavior, which started in February 2007 when she shaved her head, has had on her bank account — she’s lost nearly $61 million. “It’s staggering how much money has been used up,” a family friend says. In addition to the enormous tab for legal bills, rehab and psychiatric care, Britney’s inability to work has cost her a fortune. “By not touring for her last album [Blackout], she lost out on $50 million,” estimates Robert Bianchi, an LA-based CPA who isn’t an accountant for Britney. Jamie hired his own accountants to sort out the money mess and bring an end to the 26-year-old’s excessive spending. “It’s been quite a challenge getting things under control,” the insider says. Luckily, as Britney’s mental health improves, so does her bottom line. “She’s spending about a fifth of what she used to,” the insider adds.

Neal Patrick Harris is still apologizing for slamming Britney Spears.

Don't give in to the man Neal!!!! You were right on!!
LA Times:
"How I Met Your Mother" actor Neal Patrick Harris says that his comment about "stunt casting"was not a slam against Britney Spears.
No, really.
He had publicly expressed reservations about "stunt casting," which was interpreted as a smackdown for Spears' small role as a secretary smitten with the show's lead character, Ted Mosby."My words were misconstrued," he tells the Chicago Sun Times. "I think she was a huge get for us and it was amazing to work with her," he says. "We hope she will be coming back soon."
Rumors about Spears return "stunt" appearance on the show continue to swirl but, so far, no official word.
